Factsheet Five, the leading resource for zines, reviews in their print magazine hundreds of zines in quite a number of different categories. Crescent has been reviewed in several of their issues.

Review of Volume 1 # 3 by Factsheet Five

"This issue has some striking graphics, unsurprising with an editor at RISD. There are a series of interviews in 'Witches of the World'. Each section starts with brief biographical info and details each person's involvement in the various traditions. Taken as a whole, it's a fascinating study. A parchment-like insert has a very nice color Celtic border surrounding a 'Self-Dedication Ritual'. Lots of fun bits in this zine.
Recommended."

Review of Volume 2 #1 by Factsheet Five

"This issue has some striking graphics as usual (the editor is at RISD) There is another installment in a series of interviews with a woman from Florida who follows the 'Celtic Tradition of Witchcraft'. A parchment-like insert has a very impressionistic image of a dagger in a stump or stone with flames around it. Lots of fun bits in this zine. It's worth getting for the artwork alone.
Highly recommended."

Review of Volume 2 #2 by Factsheet Five

"Crescent has continued to evolve into a visually unique zine with a consistant and attractive graphic appearance. They have merged with The Rosegate Journal, the zine formerly published by W.A.R.D. (Witches Against Religious Discrimination) and the Rosarian Tradition of Witchcraft. Many of the writers in this expanded issue used to write for Rosegate. Other writers and artists are RISD (Rhode Island School of Design) students and alums. The theme of this issue is Imbolg and Norse Mythology. A series of interviews with different people continues with Lazarus Chernik on the Runes of the Elder Futhark. Other articles include 'Lambs and Sheep in Celtic Faith', 'Thor', 'People of the North', and 'Magical Alphabets'. It's worth getting for the outstanding artwork alone.
Recommended."
