Gallery Artist - vol2 issue2 reviews and showcases the work of:
Leonora C a r r i n g t o n
Leonora was born in England in 1917 and became a part of the Surrealist movement during the late 1930's. Her work has recently been shown in retrospectives in Japan and New York. Her paintings are beautiful and intense, drawing from influences of Celtic mythology and the traditions of the Mexican bruja. We highly recommend taking a look at her work.
"The fact that these paintings also display her lucid visions and her capability of exploring the vast and different ways in which her own mythology may be painted, expands the viewer's imagination, pleases the desiring eye, and creates anfield of present and further study."
