We are currently accepting applications for a number of paid
positions on Crescent's staff. The following positions are all
contract-based positions ideal for individuals who are seeking
supplemental income opportunities. Tele-commuting is preferred.
What is important to us is your enthusiasm and a desire to join
the staff of a growing Pagan magazine. You will need to be independant
and self-motivated. This is a chance to become a part of the independent
press and work with people who are passionate about what they
do!

Regional Advertising Account Mangers
(paid positions)
Advertising Account Manager positions require coverage of one
(or more) of the following
six regions:
- US West
(CA, NV, UT, AZ, NM, CO HI)
- US NorthWest
(OR, WA, ID, WY, MT, AK)
- US Central
(KS, OK, MO, IL, IN, OH, KY, TN, WV)
- US NorthCentral
(ND, SD, NE, IA, MN, WI, MI)
- US East
(ME, VT, NH, MA, CT, RI, NY, PA, NJ,
MD, DE, BC)
- US South
(TX, AR, LA, AL, FL, GA, SC, NC, VA)
We are looking for people who have excellent oral and written
communication skills and strong organizational skills. These positions
require people who can sell effectively and are willing to build
upon their skills. These positions require an intimate understanding
of Crescent's niche audience, so familiarity and experience with
our niche market (Paganism/Earth-based Spirituality) online and
offline is a big plus. A willingness to get out in the community
and network is also important.
Responsibilities
- Be the point of contact at Crescent for all current and potential
advertisers in your region
- Develop and maintain relationships with advertisers
- Work with advertisers to find the best solution for them
- Help advertisers reach our audiences within their budget
- Work as a team with other Regional Advertising Account Managers
when needed
- Work with advertisers to settle contracts
Advertising Account Managers are paid on a quarterly schedule.
You will receive a base-pay at the beginning of the quarter. Throughout
the quarter you will earn a commission based on a percentage of
the ads that you sell in that quarter. Earnings are projected
to range from $100.00 to $400.00 per quarter for one region.
We are looking for people who can commit to at least 10 - 20
hours per quarter, plus an estimated 2 - 5 hours per ad sold /
account managed (12 - 36 hours per quarter
/ 4 - 12 hours per month.).
We suggest that you apply for the region in which you live, however,
if you feel you can effectively cover a different region than
the one in which you live please let us know. There is the potential
for you to take on more than one region if you can effectively
cover multiple regions.

Grant Writer(s)

Grants writers will work closely with the Crescent's Editors,
Khristine and Laura,
to create compelling proposals for grants based on the Crescent's
current and planned projects.
Pay
Writers will receive $50 per grant proposal. If the proposal is
accepted and Crescent receives the grant, you will receive a bonus
commission of 15%.

Online Teacher(s)

We are currently accepting proposals from prospective teachers
for new online classes and workshops. We are looking for people
who have excellent oral and written communition skills. You should
have extensive knowlege of the subjects which you propose to teach
and be able to document and provide references for your qualifications.
Teaching experience is preferred; patience and the ability to
clearly expain and instruct are imperative skills.
These positions are ideal for people who love working with others
and who have a desire to share their knowlege and expertise. Strong
internet skills are a must.
