Submission Guidelines

We request that anyone interested in writing for Crescent submit
a writing sample. Upon receipt of the sample submission, a folder
is created for each writer for the review process where it will
be considered by the editorial staff. Due to the high volume of
email we receive, it is best if a copy of your writing sample
is also sent via snail mail so that it may get the most of our
attention. Please be sure your writing sample is in print format
(not hand written), and contains all of your contact information
on all pages of submitted materials: name, address, email, and
phone (this information will be kept confidential). Please also
include a brief biography on yourself and note the status of your
writing sample (published, unpublished, etc). Please send samples

*Before submitting your work, please note the following
requirements:
- We do not print previously published work. (It is ok to submit
such work for your writing sample, but all work submitted for
publication must be original. Please be sure to state the status
of your work.) Also, submission of work does not guarantee publication.
- All submissions must be the original work of the author.
- If accepted for publication, please be mindful that your
work may be edited for length, format, grammar, and clarity.
We cannot guarantee that your material will appear exactly as
submitted.
- Material containing research, quotes, and other factual information
must have proper citation and bibliography.
- Work that has been accepted for publication must be in digital
format. (Submit final draft via email, or snail-mail on approved
disk.)
We recommend consulting our mission statement
or sampling an issue of Crescent to better understand the type
of material we are looking for.
