V3I2 "Sacred Spaces" Excerpt
from "Pathworking: Creating A Sacred Space Within" by
Dominae

The technique of pathworking or guided
meditation is often used to explore the inner realms of one's
psyche and other
planes of existence.
Like hypnosis, pathworking uses relaxation
and visualization to place a person in another place or time,
where the current surroundings no longer exist and the realm
of the mind is explored as though it were reality. When a
person is able visualize and imagine situations quite clearly,
it
may be easy to sense, smell, hear and see a pathworking environment.
But as it is with the realm of imagination, anything is possible
in pathworking. Worlds are created and destroyed in a single
thought.
This is a time when we are often stressed,
searching for a place to be alone with our thoughts away
from the demands
placed
upon us. Pathworking can be used not only to find a place
to relax, but to actually create that place from scratch
and make
it completely personal, customized to your own desires
and needs. As pagans it is rare that we would come across
temples
to the gods in our daily existence. But with pathworking
as a tool, we can create our own temples and sacred places
to
worship, celebrate and explore our own spiritual paths.
