The
Lore of Gorgons:
Grecian. 3 Warrior sisters said to be monsters (Euryale, Stheno,
and Medusa). They were said to have snakes in their hair, tusks,
hands of metal, wings, and if anyone looked into their eyes,
they would be turned into stone. Deeper research beyond their
physical appearences shows that these three sisters were most
likely Amazons, dressed in frightful attire in order to strike
terror into the hearts of their enemies, thus the legend was
born.

Are
we so grotesque in our own darkness that we fail to
recognize ourselves? Perhaps this is merely the face
of the Goddess when we turn away from her, when we neglect
her. Then our own heart slowly turns to stone and our
heads itch as we feel the snakes sprouting. Our faces
begin to scowl and we chew our lips in consternation.
The wrinkles manifest without humor. We curse. The sisters
Euryale, Stheno, and Medusa come to encircle us. With
snakes in their hair, tusks, hands of metal and wings,
they are girdled and transformed by their own grotesqueness.
The Gorgons promise a spiritual release in the grotesque
destruction. A new cycle begins.
